Been making and ruining sheaths while getting used to the machine.

I burnished the edge that the fringe is on but didnt take a second pic before delivering it. The original sheath for the 903 Bowie had a slice on the face.

It was fun to build. It was a learning experience to use a sewing machine to follow the stamps on the front. The foot left marks so I hope they soften with time. I wasnt going to do that originally. I was going to run a stitch around the perimeter but quickly ran out of room.

I left the fringe long so the end user could trim to their liking.

Wow, you have come a lot further in your skill on the machine than I have on mine--I am sure I would have a lot of trouble following a stamp line like that. (IE: I don't think I could do that at this point). Great job, looks good.

When you lay out your stamping borders, always take into consideration where your stitch lines will be and mark the border lines accordingly. Eliminate a problem before it has a chance to happen. It all starts with that paper pattern I've been talking about "ad nauseam"

The buck 903 bowie all polished out is a beautiful knife.I lined the inside of the front piece with suede. Makes a nice smooth transition when knife is pulled in or out.

I have started from scratch more times than I care to mention. The good thing is that is less and less as time goes on.

Would like constructive advice as well.when you handle the sheath so much you become somewhat numb to the end result. Remember the sheath was an order, fringe and all for a show knife.

Fun to do.

really enjoying having a sewing machine.
