I have the M390 710 (1401)with the blue/black scales and really don't care for them. Benchmade will not sell me a set of regular scales and I cannot find them anywhere on the internet. If anyone could point me to a vendor that has a set for sale I would appreciate it!

You might offer them up for trade for a stock blk set...I would think the screw set would have to go w/

Or, have a custom set made by one of the crafters on board. I recommend Keyman..710 specialist.

Jay,
If you are interested in trade with stock scale, please contact me.
I have a regular 710 (black) with Benchmade factory cylinder pillar spacers (have solid back spacers as well). You might want to keep the spacers for the 710-1401, which is much nicer, btw; if you change scales.

I love my 710-1401's...in part because of the color. I would keep your original scales and buy some aftermarket ones if you hate the color. Somebody on here is a custom scale maker who has posted many pics of his scales. I bet he could make you happy. Worst case buy a used 710 and swap them.

Surprised you don't like the blue/black scales.
I had a custom set made up for mine from Steve Ketchen here on the forum. He did an excellent job!!
