Round 2 of my 940-2 mods. Pretty satisfied now, think it's time to stop.
1) continued reprofiling the blade
2) contoured the g10 handles.

I don't think I am a good influence on you guys; grinding and hacking pieces off perfectly good knives.
:):):)

Seriously though.
I'm all for grinding on that blade. Especially thinner near the tip.

The handle looks beautiful and high end now.
I am curious what compelled you to reshape the handle. Were the ridges of the original uncomfortable (I would think they actually contribute to the grip and control of the knife in use) or was the reshaping mostly for aesthetics.

Thanks for this thread.

Hey Wowbagger,
Handle changes were mainly aesthetic, except for removing the top hump - I wanted better access to the base of the blade spine cuz I like to put my thumb there. The contouring/rounding was entirely for looks - I was just in modding mode and decided to plunge in. Also love the way G10 starts to look when sanded, and felt that the factory finish looked kinda plasticky.
