A different Old Timer!

Shirley if you read above you'll have most of the information your likely to find on your knife with regards to the maker.

Obviously yours is from a similar time frame as the one pictured in the first post by one of our Resident Knife historians.

So you have quite a bit of info already in this thread. It's an obvious Bowie style, if I'm wrong hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in.

Much more info most likely isn't going to be found on the net but in books and catalogs owned by collectors.

It's a very nice knife from a great period in knife making.

That last knife shown is called a duct knife and has been used in the construction trade. sometimes they are called pig stickers and have been used for severing an artery in a pig's throat to kill it and bleed it out in preparation for butchering. It could be used for fightlng or hunting but has never been sold for those purposes. I think that it is an interesting knife and was glad to see it posted.
