And it begins, shop WIP

Your shop is going to be well lit to say the least!
I see they're 90+ CRI. What color temperature did you go with?

I will try and remember to fix them tonight. The bulbs are 5000k, that's the "whitest" thy have in the 90+ CRI

Quick update. Got the roof underlayment on and the metal. I'm waiting for my wall plywood to be ready for pick up for next Monday so I can do the walls. I'm so glad I went with the snap lock standing seam metal for the roof. I still need to put on the ridge cap but it's coming along.

looks great man ! i went with metal for my house roof instead of shingles. more expensive but worth it in the long run.

I have been putting the light fixtures togather and I wanted to mount one to see how the planed location worked out. I was worried that becaus it was mounted to a truss joist and angled away from the wall that the light would not light the wall and bench area that great. So I mounted one and waited for darkness. Once dark I went out and plugged her in and I was rather surprised. This is just one fixture and I have 11 more to put up so I don't think I will be needing any more light.

This is getting really frustrating, I'm using my iPad and the pictures are showing correctly for me. I wonder why thy are upside down for you guys.

Ok I figured it out. iPhones and iPads don't actually rotate the pictures so up is up. Thy record a bit of data to the file that says which side is up. But windows does not read that data, so I have to take all pictures with the volume buttons facing down face palm, really Apple.

Well I got all the lights up and wired in and of corse I had to put the bulbs in and fire it up. By the time we where done it was dark and when I plugged them in I felt like Chevy chase on national lampoons Christmas vacation. The entire property lit up and and I could have sworn I heard angels singing. Standing inside was honestly like standing in sunlight. No shadows and I held my hand like 5 inches off the ground and still not a shadow. So I am more then happy to say the least.

Like  And God said........... "Let there be light," and there was light .
Pictures a again upside down

Ok I hope I fixed it, are thy right side up?

Update time. I tryied to make sure all pictures are right side up but if any are not let me know and I will fix them.

The big draw back to a pole building in my mind was the metal is exposed to the inside. Just seamed cheep to me and prone to damage so I sheeted it in plywood. Not cheep but totally worth it.

So far so good. It deals like a shop now and I can't wait to get it buttoned up.

Good call on the plywood sheathing...besides increased structural integrity it'll help keep the bugs out :) Any windows?
