Im interested in learning more information about BM. Does anyone know when it first became a company and there location. Also what was there first Balisong model.

I'm sure Chuck and several others know (it's probably on Chuck's site somewhere).

Take a look at this post, is contains some information.

I'm actually working on some unanswered questions, though. Haven't heard back from BM yet...

Hi Crosman.., and welcome to the Balisong Forum. "Bali-Song Cutlery" or Bali-Song USA..., started in Glendale, California in 1975.., and sort of merged into Pacific Cutlery around 1979 (although as a legal entity I believe B-SC was still viable into the 80's).

These companies were the roots of what we now know as Benchmade Knife Company.., which moved from the So California area to Oregon where it remains today.

I believe Chuck's site may cover this in more detail:

http://www.BalisongCollector.com

Hope this helps.., but if you want specific details I'm sure Roberta DeAsis would be a willing historian! Very nice lady.., and the wife of the owner...

Give 'em a call :)
