  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Congratulations to Ben (and the CPK crew) for his win this weekend, the National cutting Championship.

Congratulations to Ben for his win this weekend, he is the 2023 National cutting champion, winning the race and also winning the points challenge coin. He got all but one target and won by 10 seconds, which is a substantial win.

The women's race was much closer with first through third separated by less than 5 points. Jo got 3rd and Sue got 2nd and won the points challenge coin. Hats off to the winner, Sara Conner, a PE teacher and relatively new to the sport. She is one hell of a talented cutter to get as good as she is as quickly as she did.

National's really is the real race that separates the men from the boys, but it is Worlds (at the Atlanta Blade Show) that gets the most attention. It's a smaller event to fit within the time and space constraints of the venue but it gets the press so let's cross our fingers that the CPK crew can pull off a win in Atlanta this year. (Jo and Ben won in Atlanta a couple years ago but it didn't count because of the pandemic 😑 )
