Take Customs Action Now
Stop Customs Funding Now ! Ask Senators to Vote for Amendment 1408 to Senate Appropriations Bill.
Please contact your U.S. Senator and ask them to vote for the Wyden/Kornyn amendment (1408) to the Senate appropriations bill that would restrict U.S. Customs from using any funds to amend, interpret, enforce and promulgate any administrative rule or action which regulates, restricts, or bars from importation any knife under the Switchblade Knife Act of 1958 (15 U.S.C. §1241 et seq.), if the knife contains a spring, detent, or other mechanism designed to create a bias toward closure of the blade and that requires exertion applied to the blade by hand, wrist, or arm to overcome the bias toward closure to assist in opening the knife.
Please ask your Senator to either co-sponsor or support the amendment that will likely be reviewed in committee on July 8.
