CPK EDC/EDC2 - A Love Story (and Pictorial Compendium)

Thanks, man! I really enjoy taking pictures of knives...almost as much as using them! :D

^^Awesome group shot Mike. You are still missing some handle colors though. Better get busy on that...

The maroon handles are technically linen. There's not an unbuffed version.

I read your post below and then stand corrected. Buffed linen.

So that finish is straight from the mill, and not buffed?
Any micarta can be buffed or left in a more raw or abraded state. Even paper micarta can but there would only be a slight chalky texture left left behind, and until someone uses silk for micarta, paper should be the smoothest.

I know linen shows lighter than the maroon above. I had a maroon linen Sodbuster that I sanded to bring out the coloration and it was a bit lighter than what is shown above.

This is why I was asking about an unbuffed maroon.

I hate to tell Mike for his wife's sake, but you can get the maroon unbuffed. I think it looks nicer buffed, but if you want it unbuffed, just let me know. Unless requested, I buff all of the micarta scales.

*** !!!! *** This .. changes .. everything..

Good thing that's a user and not fresh from the shop sharp or it probably would have went through the wheel into your leg under it's own weight.
