CPM S35VN Hiking Knife

8" OAL
4" Blade
3/16" thick
High Flat Grind
Black/Green Linen Micarta handles with Stainless Steel pins










Designed for hiking, hunting, camping, and general outdoor use. The tip was machined with a thicker profile allowing it to be a bit tougher than other knives with a high or full flat grind. While there is some loss in penetration depth while stabbing, it is almost negligible. I decided to go with a thicker tip after hearing a friend mention, when he skins deer, he needs to break into the pelvis without fearing a broken tip.

Thanks guys. I've been hacking away through wood making sure all is well with the edge. It won't shave anymore, but it makes feather sticks like a champ and splits wood with minimal effort. Still no chipping or rolling of the edge. Very pleased.

I made another in CPM3v that I'm finishing up and hope it comes out just as well.
