biggest and smallest today at a small pond I found on Google Earth near my work

Nice bass. I hit a new stream that feeds a lake I normally fish. Ended up with 23 bluegills and pumpkin seed sunfish, five cat fish, and one shinner....Lots of fun! No monster fish but non stop action for about an hour and half.....

Sounds like a blast. I'd take a day of fishing like that any time.

Havent had much chance to fish this summer yet but got out on the kayak over the weekend. Caught a couple of bass, this 2.8lb being the biggest. nothing monster but a good day when you land some fish!

Alos, that gar is incredible! I don't know what I would do if I caught something that big!

Hard to follow a gar longer than I am tall but here is a nice smallie from a float in the Susquehanna this morning.

Anyone else use the Ned Rig setup from Z Man? That's what I caught this one on. I've actually had pretty good success with it on a medium light setup. Nothing real big, 5 pounds or so at the biggest, but it seems like I catch a lot more. It's pretty much become my go to if my Texas Rigs, jigs, etc aren't working.

Its almost inevitable using a baitacaster on a pond surrounded by brush. Happens to me all the time although not quite that bad.

I had to cut that one out.
I cast it and the lure fell about 5 ft in front of me and I hear the spool going bzzzzzz and in about 1.5sec, that happened....lol

I lost a whole spool of 30lb braid like that once. I tried throwing a big wide buzz bait on a 7 1/2 foot rod thru a six-foot hole. Needless to say it didn't end well, lol. Hearing the buzz of the spool spinning while the lure is on the ground is a pretty sick feeling, especially when you've only brought one rod.

Average little bass 13 1/2 -14 inches except he grabbed a #12 chartreuse woolly bugger on a tenkara rod  He was a handful on that rod plus since I was fishing a tiny pound a quarter mile from the car I left the net in the trunk
Bluegill were hammering tiny poppers

Nice fish guys!

I got out with my cousin, hia daughter, and another friend on the 3rd. We did very well and took a full limit of walleye to the cleaning station. We ate some right away and plan on having a fish fry soon.

Hit the Great Miami river over the weekend and got a couple of decent smallies. Small one is right at 12 inches the larger is 13.5.
