I have an FMV-14, and to be blunt, the handle sucks. I don't know why it needs the large swell in the middle.

That being said, before trying to sell it off, does anyone here do reputable mods? I'd like to get the handle reprofiled to more of a dogbone shape as opposed to the current bowtie shape. I'm not looking for new scales or anything of that sort, just to improve the shape overall.

I tried searching through some past posts and I looked in the Knifemakers services offered area, but I thought it would be good to ask here too.

I think the handle is nearly perfect as is. But I have XXL hands. You could probably do the work yourself with very coarse grit sandpaper, going slow. If you do, BE SURE TO WEAR A RESPIRATOR, especially if the scales are G10!!!! I'd recommend wet sanding. You don't want that dust in your lungs, it's permanent and can kill you.
