I got a kraton handled big brother a while back. I used it yesterday for wood processing for upcoming camp trip. I batoned chopped, featherstick and made tent pegs. I beat on it harder than any other knife I've ever had everything afterward seemed tight and edge help up pretty good to. I hate the serrations which bite me twice but overall this one's a keeper for me.
I've heard bad things about rat tail tangs and the increased steel on the big bro and same size tang being used I heard weakens the tang. In some ways that makes sense but I was wanting your experience with the big brother model. Has there been any issues with yours?

It has a full stick tang, not a rat tail. I don’t think you have anything to worry about.

The overall balance of the knife and shock absorption of the leather washer handle is worth any loss of strength. It’s plenty tough for anything normal.

It handles beautifully.

If you’re not obsessed with prying and batoning and processing wood with everything even resembling a knife, it is a strong and capable blade.
