I never met an SAK I didn't like but the Victorinox Compact just doesn't feel right. After carrying SAKs for more than 30 years I've gotton used to certain things. Things like having the small screwdriver and the small blade. Thats why the Pioneer feels okay. The awl on the Pioneer has an excellent edge and tip so its a great replacement for the small blade.
