Hey HOGS. I thought I'd start a thread here in reference to a fellow BF member here. I recently aquired one of John's Belt Hawks, and that got me started on looking at his stuff. John makes some killer blades that are 01 tool steel and very reasonably priced. I am wondering if any of you have checked his stuff out and if not please do. Us as HOGS respect fine craftsmanship of blade steel and I don't think John has the abundance of customers as he should. I am doing my part to help get his name out because I think he deserves it. I hope I didn't cross the line with this thread here. I think many of you guys may like his stuff as well. Here is a pic of my JK Belt Hawk

I am a fan of John's work. One that recently caught my eye was his Combat/Utility model. One of the things I like is that it is readily offered with a 3.5", 6", and 7" blades, though I am sure he would make it to your specs.

I would second looking at Johns work ... I have a couple JK knives and for a custom and the price they are hard to beat ... and they are great for a working blade not just eye candy.

John knows Jerry - and I believe Jerry owns a JK or two.

I actually have a BA Ergo that JK reground, and then Garth put the original scales back on for me. Talk about best of both worlds!

Nice looking JK Spike Hawk. He doesn't work with G10 anymore, so this is quite a rarity now.

I do not know anything of the maker of the hawk, nor the hawk itself, on the left
