Finally back with some after pix...

Got the BG-AK done. I'm really, really happy with how she came out!

With a BuyBrown @David Brown sheath, and a sword dangler:

I finally finished the BB-13 and Battle Shark today. I'm going to post pix of them soon.

that did come out nice! ^^

i love the rig for it too

Thank you Sir! Yep Big Dave did a GREAT job with the sheath and sword danglers!!!

Okay, so here is the BB-13 CG...
I spent a LOT of time trying to smooth her out with 220 grit paper. To be honest, I finally just gave up...
I shudder when I think what these must have looked like before the surface grinding.
The SHe's with the pits were smooth on the primary bevel and I'd trade that for the bevels on the BB-13 any time.

FWIW, Do yourself a favor and don't strip yours until you've looked at this and other pix of them stripped.

In a great open spine sheath from @David Brown:

I'm not as pleased with how she came out, but it's ALWAYS a gamble with a coated blade, and she'll still be a much better chopper w/o the coating!

I'll post the Battle Shark pix tomorrow.

The grinder gremlins got you! :p:D

Still though, I think the BB13 came out nicely also. I can appreciate the seemingly endless sanding you must have done! Looks good. And for the types of jobs it will do I think it has the perfect finish especially since scratches and blemishes from using it will blend in quite well. I like it.

That is really unfortunate, should not be that BIG of a gamble!

I'm surprised. I would not have expected that.

Yeah I know. As long as the primary bevel was clean, I'd have been a happy camper!

Thank you Sir! Yeah, I'm grabbing her and my stripped NMFBM next time something needs a good choppin'! Can't wait to see if it made a big difference on the NMFBM.

Battle Shark:
The CBT was a WONDERFUL surprise after the BB-13. The whole blade is very smooth and clean with no gremlins or craters. All the finishing was done with coarse/medium/fine Scotchbrite pads:

Thanks Guys!!

Petey, Ratman & Timmy - Yes, you all NEED a Battle Shark! It's the best little Busse Bowie I've ever seen!!!!:thumbsup:

If I strip the Hognose I'll start a new thread.
