Hello all, long time fan of Kabar/ Becker and regular lurker here... Thought I'd post my 1317... the coating was coming off here and there, so I decided to strip it... love this knife.

That really is, by FAR, my favorite version of that knife. It looks good nekkid too!
 
got it last night, this morning went to the grinders. No offense to Mr. Johnson, as I have plenty of his blades, it's just that I find that middle horn a bit too much

repro handle and teeth. Not a big fan of American tantos, but a good deal is hard to pass. I thought an angular look to the handle would suit it better.
 
thanks, slice. I'm actually liking it more now, but still prefer traditional tantos.
 
I really like they way you took the serrations down. I wonder if it'd work to take it all the way down tracker style? I have some mods cooking for my Taiwan version.
 
did that already to an Aitor Tercio, works good
