Kizer Cormorant issue

I purchased a Cormorant back at Christmas time. After about a week of carrying, it started to make a noticeable ticking sound. I've contacted Kizer to explain the situation and they have responded. Unfortunately because I live in Canada they said they could not guarantee that I would get my knife back.
I then contacted the store I got it from. They said to try and find someone to help repair it.
I'm just wondering if this is a normal solution for this type of problem?
Is there someone out there that could possible help in the repair?
Thanks for any info and help given.

Have you tried taking it apart, tightening the screws, cleaning, and oiling it?

Second post I've read today about Canadians being unable to send their knife in for maintenance in fear of not getting it back. Many such cases.

Does it only click when the blade is closed? If so, that it is more than likely the blade stop pin and nothing to worry about. If on the other hand it is ticking when open it may be the button lock spring is binding or broken. There is no harm in tearing it down for inspection. My Mad Tanto had that ticking sound when closed. Blade stop pin, the simple fix is to add a little dot of grease on both sides of the pin when you take the knife apart and reassemble. They cut the stop pin holes out a wee bit too big.
But if your action is good and not failing the sound is more of an annoyance than a safety concern.
