I have been looking into buying the Spyderco M4 Yojimbo 2 But I am not sure about the legality, I checked google but the use of words is quite weird and unintelligible, do any of you know about the legality of it?

A folding knife is legal to own and keep in your home. Spyderco knives are sold in Israel so they are "legal".
Howvever, carrying a knife with a blade length up to 4 inches it is subject to a valid reason. Self defense is not a valid reason. This is common practice in many countries.
Additionally Israel is a highly security sensitive country for obvious reasons. So there are plenty of places malls, school zones, security zones where you wouldn't want to be caught carrying.

Single edge, non-locking knives up to 10 cm are presumed legal and according to the law the person carrying one does not have to provide any reason.

But, Police, military, etc. don't have to know the law and can confiscate anything and ruin your day. However, they are pretty good at knowing who's a troublemaker and who's not.

Anything different- it locks, it has a double edge, it's longer than 10 cm (as *they* measure it) requires a good excuse and maybe a lawyer. And there is no jury in the State of Israel, only one judge.

In the last few years they passed a law with mandatory prison time for knife offenses. The situation continues to worsen for self-defense.

It is legal to own non-conforming knives in your home, for example autos, long fixed blades, etc.

Israel did loosen its strict gun laws somewhat after that deadly Hamas attack that resulted in many deaths and kidnappings. They learned (once again...the hard way) that an unarmed man is at a serious disadvantage against an armed man; especially a terrorist. Not sure about knives, though. A friend is married to a woman who has family in Israel and they travel there on occasion. When I get the chance, I'll ask him.

It's an old thread from 2024 already answered.

Just as a by and by Israel did not loosen the gun laws. What they did was somewhat improve the existing system which was (and many would say still is) sclerotic and pathetic. In my opinion too little too late.

Dealing with heavily armed militia with a handgun is not going to work well. Israelis should have far more accessible gun ownership to include all semi-auto rifles and shotguns.
Any town in Texas has a better armed citizenry.
