Roman,
I love yuour work, simple yet elegant.
Would you mind explaining your patination process for the Elmax?
Thanks
Stephen Hostetler
Hey Stephen
I would describe patination ELMAX.
My English is not very good. Perhaps this will be understandable.
It shall apply fast-drying paint.
He takes a hard brush.
Color will make stains (dots) on the blade.
Trying to do it regularly.
The color is allowed to dry.
The blade is immersed for etching in ferric chloride. About 5 minutes.
After that, the blade clean with water.
The color was removed by a solvent.
Where was the color, not etching.
Where not color, is etched blade.
This procedure repeat five times.
At the end of the blade sand with sandpaper. I use a very fine 2500 grit.
That is all. It's very easy.
