Just finished these up for some knives that were purchased as groomsmen's gifts. They probably have a bit to much "point" on the end, but other than that I'm happy with the package. The different colored threads are to keep the knives with the proper sheaths since all the knives are just a wee bit different and the sheaths are wet formed for proper fit. I continue working on my edges.......

They're looking good. Did you ever buy better quality leather.

I have not, but I have just a little bit of leather left on the double shoulder I have been working with so will be ordering soon. (I'm going to get it through Zack White Leather this go around, instead of Tandy.)

I like pouch sheaths but they can look a little bland. That horizontal strip of leather with the tassle and piece of metal, adds a nice touch to the visible presentation. John

Springfield leather has many different cuts and weights of Hermann Oak leather. You can purchase a few cut pieces with the weights and quality you may want to try. It's a little more money per piece this way, but, you can see what you like vs. buying a double shoulder or side and not be happy with it. I did this when I started. I was lucky enough to find a happy medium with quality and price. You really can't go wrong with the Hermann Oak Springfield leather supplies. Just speak with someone there. They are willing to help. My next purchase will be some Wickett & Craig. The only thing with them is you need to buy the entire side which would be about $250-$275 with the shipping. Here's a few links of some of the pre-cuts if you're interested.

Thank you; that's a good idea. I'll check it out.

Definitely either the HO or W & C. Nice work. Interesting way of keeping track of which knife goes to which sheath.

Thanks Dave . On the threads...it's the only way I could figure out to keep up with what went with what, since they were all so similar and going to the same place. I'm sure there's a better way......

Once I get my leather in and complete a project with it, I'll be sure to show the results.
