Let's see your W.A. Surls Knife!

Thanks gents. This is a special one that I am very fortunate to own.

The wildebeest leg bone rustamuk is probably one of the coolest Allen has made so far.

That does sound cool Danny. I remember Allen also had a Jackyl with a walrus oosik handle. I thought that was pretty cool too.

Really enjoying this Bobcat.

The Tatanka looks to be a nice one, and yours is a great example. Though... The name conjures up memories of watching "pro" wrestling and binging out on Last of the Mohicans

Here is a pic of the Starry night Rocky Mt Nessmuk. Love it. As much as I like the resin bits glowing in this material, I do wonder about durability on a knife that will get knocked around. I can handle dings, but I probably unnecessarily worry about a glow chunk cracking and falling out. What attracted me to this Muk, ironically, was the lack of larger resin chunks and more of the flowing burlap material

Tatanka! My friend Tom, of the Lakota Nation, tells me in the old language ways Tatanka translated to be understood as "Buffalo" and also "Great" or "Big", as in wopila tatanka "great/big thanks" or Wakan Tanka "great spirit" . On the planes of North America in the 1800's that frame of reference was obvious. Buffaloes ARE BIG! This Creation of Allen's is perfectly named and one must behold a thing like this in person to understand how fine a blade this is. Woplia Tatanka Allen! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
