MSP Core 4 Stove (Core 4 Bio-reactor Multifunction Stove)

I think it's mainly just bigger and has two feed ports, iirc.

My one criticism of their web site is that it would be nice if they had a comparison chart or side-by-by summaries for the different models. I found it pretty confusing at first.

Good suggestion. I will work on a chart camparing the models.

My stove came in, did quick test run after work yesterday.

No problems with assembly, although it is fairly involved with the tlud, afterburners, and heat shield.

Certainly wasn't "roughing it" on my deck, but was fairly impressed with the stove. Winds were strong, it was starting to rain, and the wood was damp... no problems whatsoever lighting and maintaining the fire. Seemed to ramp up to an efficient, smoke free burn quickly.

Good to hear, great pic. Assembly gets easier every time you use it. Once you have it burning,a little damp wood is no trouble at all. The stove burns hot enough to get it going in no time. Enjoy your outdoors cooking :)

Keep those pics coming :D

Great picture!
Glad to hear you had no problems assembling it. Keep us updated on your testing the stove!

Can't praise this stove enough....

In this wonderful season of nuts and mushrooms there's always a good reason to pick one of your knives and build a little fire....
Today I roasted some chestnuts on my MSP Core 4. A backyard adventure, but it was fun anyway :)
Hope you can smell the roasting looking at these pics... it smells so good.
The standard grill plate works perfect for this.

This thread needs some love and attention :)
Went out to play outside last week.

Most pics you find online from the Core 4 are taken from the new stove.
I got some questions from people asking how the stove holds up over time.
If it gets all black inside and if parts get warped from the heat.
I've used the stove on quite a few trips, and took some pics on how it looks today.

Here's to show how the stove holds up after a couple dozen of burns....
Except for the change of color (improved a lot) it's as good as it was the day it arrived.

Still fits the original bag:

The different parts, insides and outsides showing. Except for the rocket port all the soot (never much anyway) comes of easy.

Colors are beautiful after some use:

Everything still fits perfect like its supposed to

here with the grill plate I don't use much:

I doubt (& hope!) I'll never have a need to bust out the pieces, but it looks awesome. :)

Last week in Germany my MSP Core 4 came along. Used it on a hike 3 afterburners and the TLUD plate installed. No Rocketport this time :)

I should get mine out and use it. I carry it in my day pack most of the time but haven't used it in months. Thanks for the reminder.

Yes, it's a fun piece of gear to use.
Brings a big smile to my fave every time I use it :)

I'd like to see only photos of the stove on a cleared area - no leaves , sticks etc !
Would a 10 year old be able to assemble all those parts much faster than an adult ?

Chestnut notes - chestnuts are easy to freeze .Get lots of them early in the season [ they are better] freeze and use when needed. Most we get here are Italian.
The best use ? Crown Roast of Pork with Chestnut stuffing ! Great for holidays like Christmas !

Great tip, never thought of this. I'll freeze some next fall :)

No chestnuts, but another little video experiment.... please don't laugh at my editing skills ;)

And this thread needed some love and attention. This stove is too awesome :D
