This weekend's project. All black sheath for Giraffe Bone handle, 9" Hunter. Worked real hard on my edges, per feedback on last week's sheath, using a combo of machine and hand sanding for edge finishing and burnishing. Took Dave Ferry's advice and threw the Edge Kote out, so this one is dyed. Lemme know if I've made progress.

It appears that you did indeed make progress. Nice job. Every one will get a little better.

Definitely an improvement Amy! The struggle with edges is real! I fight it with every piece.

I went back and took a look at the sheath you posted on 3/28/17
There is a noticeable improvement with this one. One thing I've learned over the years with anything. Take your time, slow down, and work on whatever creative thing you're doing when you really want to and have the time, not because you have to and rush it.

Amen to that! Anytime I've tried to push something out the door because I needed to, it hasn't turned out near as well as the work I've done when I'm doing it just because I was in the mood. Always good to be reminded to "Go slow to go fast".

Good deal. Definite improvement Over the last one posted. Nice job. Learn to be your own toughest critic and ya can get real good. Did ya make the knife too?

Thanks, Dave. I did not make the knife. My husband is the Knifemaker. (and I'm working real hard to up my game to match the quality of my leather work to the quality of the knives he's making.)

Good deal. Keep working , keep posting and we'll get ya there. A good package knife/sheath really helps sales.
