Rough ground and ready for heat treat

Four just out of the quench.

They are cooking in the oven right now.

Lord willing, tomorrow I'll heat treat the other three and get the finish grinds on the first four.
Thanks for looking,
Iz

All heat treated and the blades are finished except for marking some of them.

And my new mark which I plan on changing as soon as possible. The "Turley" is to big and the "Missouri" is to small. I'm still trying to figure out how to get a good mark with the etcher.

Iz, I must say I love the new blade logo. I think it really rounds out the whole package.

Not take all your scraps and etch them with it drill a hole, add a split ring and sell them as keyrings, and you could harden them to make them more useful as strikers!

Heck yeah....Turley strikers. Good idea Skab!

I dig the logo. I thought it looked good in person too. I like em a bit deeper etched, but thats because after using that Turley like its meant to be used, it will wipe your mark off pretty quick.......

Thanks, fellers. I'm still trying to learn this etching thing.:(
I did a few to day that don't look so good.:barf:

The rest of the handles are laminated, I should be getting them shaped and glued up tomorrow or Monday.
Thank for looking,
Iz

Looks like you are going to have that pommel plate thing figured out really well here b4 long. Everyone is wanting it on everything now!!

Yeah, the plate has gotten to be pretty popular.
I'm getting a little more used to them now.
Later, brother.

I cleaned up one of the machetes real quick. If this one doesn't sell immediately then I'm keeping it.:D

Got one of the machetes glued up and rough shaped

I've decided I never want to use copper again unless my livelihood depends on it. It doesn't grind, file or sand worth a dang. It's clingy and is just a nightmare to work. I love the look but hated working with it.

Thanks for looking,
Iz
