Official Buck Picture Thread

I've always thought the 315 was a handsome knife. I like the one blade shape and would find it useful. DM

Emspop. beautiful red jigged bone on that 303, nice thing to find in one's mailbox. Wherever do you find all these versions I never knew existed?

Thank you,
Found a few thru trades here and dredged several out of the bay. Good hunting!

Hotdog! This beauty just showed up a day early! I guess if you are really going to collect 303's then this is a big one!

Buck made 303 from late 85' no date stamp. These were the first knives Buck made on their newly built assembly line as they were getting ready for the contract with Camillus to end. From what I understand there aren't a whole lot of these floating around...

Great photos of your 303, Emspop. Another part I like is the Buck box you show. To my eyes, much cooler-looking than the yellow/black boxes I've been getting with my new Bucks...the one you have here lends a "classic-rugged" look to the packaging.

My first Buck post to the "official" thread. Plan to make the few Bucks I have part of this record, and join so many other great photos!;)

Here is an iddy biddy Buck, US-made #160 Smidgeon Neck Knife. Scary sharp little knife, clips on a belt loop and slips into a back pocket very nicely. The carabiner has a bottle opener incorporated into it too, a handy addition.

I may save looking for the photo till Sunday show, but you have more versions of that one to find. That is the end of 85 version, the first in house made. It has no date stamp and when you find one with the 86 date stamp you will see the change in the alignment of the Buck shield. Your knife has the shield at a angle and the next four years models have it straightened in-line with line of the knife center. Be careful in cleaning these as the ink rubs off with mild scrubbing. These will all be 425 steel also. 300

Here is a photo of the first three BUCK shield years, you can notice the angled Buck shield on the no date stamp model (1985).

To answer Sonnys question, I don't think I have ever said that. But, when the change over was occurring,( making them in the Buck factory), I would not be surprised to learn that some of those with no date stamp did come from Cami.

I'm glad you piped in about that 300, I've been wondering about those versions myself lately. Didn't you tell me once that Camillus made some of the BUCK shield 300's?

I've heard a lot about the spa treatment but haven't ever used it until getting a 2 dot 110 on an auction site.
Well, after around 5 weeks I just got it back and it looks gorgeous! These pictures do not do it justice but here it is..
