It was found outside Mapleton, OR. with a bunch of other old logging gear.
It has uniform pitting and someone had been a little mean to the heel of the bit so it was in and out of my vise for a while for a reprofile. The toe was clean. My plan was to use it.
For example, 28” handle. I am not including the handle – that is destined for another axe. I just thought it might give perspective.
