I just ordered one of my own, but I can't find any details or history. I ordered it because it looks excellently bad and I have recently learned that it is the near perfect size for my favorite knife carry.

Protourist - I guess this is your post to respond :) Is there a story with this knife and its name?

It was my entry in one of John's anniversary contests. It won and I'd like to be humble and say something like "I'm shocked that I won" but I won't. I basically took the handle shape from one of John's designs and added what I believe to be the perfect all around blade shape. John made it into an absolutely wonderful knife. It's comfortable, it's pretty and it's danged useful.
The name? Although I don't watch TV, SWMBO does and she loves NCIS. She named the knife.
Rule #9 "always carry a knife." My rule? If you're going to carry a knife, carry THIS knife.
 
It is a great design - looks especially good in ebony on a left handed knife too.

It doesn't look half bad in Snakewood on a right handed one either.
 
We'll see how it looks in greenheart too.
