Sharpening my Compact Bushcrafter

Mark,

Got my green / green burlap Compact Bushcrafter. Absolutely love it. Wanted to inquire your opinion on best method for sharpening. I like to keep my knives sharp enough to whittle hair.

I have several methods / devices available to me:

Fallkniven DC-4
KSF Leather Strop with Black and Green Compound
Crock Sticks

I have a Fallkniven S1 and use the DC-4 and then strop and it's hair popping sharp. Your thoughts on your knives??

Thanks.

Lorenzo

Sounds like you have better sharpening kits than I do. Unless my kmg counts. Its not that it weighs 150 lbs, its the 100 miles of extension cord to make it portable!

Seriously. I just use 600 grit sandpaper. I either lay it on my leg or a piece of leather so it has some give. And I draw the knife backwards across the paper. I then strop on a leather belt.

I don't have too much of a polished edge on my personal knives. I like them a bit toothy.
