Sleipner vs Niolox

Depending on the size range of the knife, but anything under 5" i'd personally chose niolox because it's stainless and plenty tough in smaller knives. Anything larger i'd go with sleipner as it is arguably tougher and probably needed in larger fixed blades where the knife may be required to exceed normal tasks. But sleipner would require more maintenance than something like niolox.

ive got only one sleipner blade with a black coating on it, so it doesnt get affected by the elements.
lionsteel TM1

its super sharp, but ive had to strop it several times to stay sharp. ive only cut cardboard, paper and foam thus far.
