Photos that are not mine belong to Dirk Loots and credit to him for his fantastic photos.
Some of Neill Schutte's work
Deon Nel.
Johnny Kable had some really nice lockback and tail lock folders, some were grabbed before I even saw them all, but this Big Bear was executed exceptionally well.
Andre Thorburn and Andre van Heerden never fail to impress
Some of Andre Thorburns work.
John Arnold, his work is always different and well executed.
Des Horn, whats not to love.
Herucus Blomerus doing his thing
Trevor Burger, so much variety
Jason Guthrie, Jason's Barlow and Bacon folder were really stunning pieces for me. Simple, yet elegant with its subtle elegance.
Kosie Steenkamp, he has really grown into his flippers.
Neels Roos, always something different. This time each knife had a different pattern engraved on the spine.
Alan Mitchell is ever improving.
Shaun Roodt won best knife new knife maker and have to say, though the pictures below are not of the knives he entered into judging these "worker" pieces of his had exceptional crisp grinds and beautiful hand rub finishes.
The below pictures are professionally taken by Dirk Loots. Stuart also made a short sword that was mind blowing. I was in such aw of his and Kevin Harveys work I forgot to take any pictures.
Kevin Harvey, master smith for a reason.
Bertie Rietveld
Hope you enjoy. Unfortunately I did not get to everyone, but check out Dirk Loots for some of the knives I was not able to photograph.
