Can you spot soften kydex to make more intricate bends such as belt loops after molding the sheet to the blade? Can you use hot water?
Thanks for the help.

Use a heat gun with a narrow nozzle to focus the heat more where you want it. You can also use a damp rag wrapped around any areas you're trying to avoid heating. I've also heard of people using a candle before but haven't tried it myself.

I drilled a 1/4" hole through a piece of scrap masonite for a heat shield. I used it to put an "anti-rattle dimple" on the backside of a kydex sheath.

Just put it right on the kydex and heat with a heat gun. I literally had a spot of soft kydex the size of a pencil erasure.

The painters heat gun is definately the best for finish work.
