Survival knife ?

I am hoping there is a mixture of both.

I like the Friday sales and the safety of the pre-order list.

There have been some very cool handles to come out of the Friday sales and they bring an excitement to the forums. Many have participated just to see where they land on the list without even taking a knife. I wouldn't want to see the Friday sales go away completely at least.
 
^^^ I very much doubt if they will go away as long as CPK remains a small family run business with Nathan / Jo at its helm. The Fridays sales have apparently been their marketing and sales technique for quite a while which is something other companies may have also emulated from. It seems that Nathan likes the First-Come-First-Served concept, but the problem is that as of late that technique alone, plus a few units showing up at Blade Show and Fort Henry Knives will not satisfy the demands of their primary market buyers.
 
Nathan, Lorien - I'm sure these will be great. Friday sale or pre-order I want to get one. They look good from what I've seen and I know, based on the others, that they will be dependable tools.

I haven't seen all the posts so I don't know if you've said or not, but I'm figuring you'll have some of these @ Blade. I'm not thinking I'm going to make it this year, but this tempts me to go anyway :)

6hr drive + entry fee + CPK Knife = Worth it
 
I think we'll announce a limited not-a-survival-knife pre-order in today's EDC sale. We have a new machining center coming in today so I may be tied up, but if I get a chance to sit down and work out the pre-order details I'll try to do a limited pre-order today to accommodate you guys who are foaming at the mouth.

Great news! Yipee Ki-Yay Motherhuggers!

OK, I did a head count and so far I see 4 other gents with lead filled fat fingers ahead of me, so nimble Casino ought to be in good shape. It's those younger whipper snappers who give me a run for my money and they know who they are :p
 
^^^ I think you'll have to share one knife between two people. I'm calling dibs on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and Bob will be my sharing partner for Mondays through Thursdays :)
 
^^^^hmm, I see in other pre-orders that people ordered 2 of the field knife.
So, I take it pre-order knives go to those who are quickest on the draw like regular sales threads?
 
They're shipped in the order they're received, but the pre-order stays open for a while, there is a large window to order what you want without the rush.
