T5

I prefer this "tumbled" coated finish variety on the T5 more than the smooth DLC type of finish on the M7. I think Uncle Matty is gonna get himself one of them beauties :D

Let's see if I can slip these in before the forum transfer!!!........

My LionSteel T5B with blackwashed Niolox steel and solid Micarta handle. It's a beast. Very solid. I've also included a picture alongside my LionSteel-made Knife Research Legion with satin Sleipner steel and Micarta handle. KR Legion is about the same size as the LionSteel M7. All are Molletta designs.

Are the screws DLC and tumbled as well?

Screws are coated black but not blackwashed like the blade/tang. You have to look real close but the micarta is also darker than the blade so the screws blend in nicely with the handle.

Actual measurements of my T5B:
  • Weight: 9.53 ounces
  • Blade length: 4.982"
  • Blade thickness: 0.193"
  • Handle length: 4.926"
  • Handle thickness: 0.908"

For those interested in a T5 with blackwashed lionox steel, Lamnia has them in stock now. I'm still sitting on the fence procrastinating but I received their in-stock email notification today: 4/25.

Used the T5 to do a few tasks this weekend. Cleaned a turkey, did some light duty fire prep, cut a little string and some other odds and ends. Really nice blade they're making here  I'd love to see one in CPM 3V, or maybe Cruforge V

I got mine, and it is a beast of a knife! Here is a comparison picture with my Benchmade 182 Siebert bushcraft for comparison.

Ramzar and David thanks for the comparison pictures....can anyone take a moment to take side by sides of the T5/M5

I've got my modified T5 today. A custom knife maker helped me with the choil. Now its really useful choil:

Interested in one of these as well. Never had a blade with Niolox, never heard of it until now.

How does Niolox rate on corrosion resistance? Say compared to S35vn, Elmax, M390?
