I will post better illuminated pictures tomorrow. Cocobolo is a wonderful material, by the way.
 
There we go, finally done.

All in all, I'm happy. The knife feels great in the hand and the sheath does what it's supposed to do. I could probably have done a slightly better sanding job on both the sheath and the knife and I derped out while grinding down the Corby pins, leaving two marks in the cocobolo, but these are all mistakes that I'm pretty sure I'll know better than to make again and considering this is the first time I ever attempt at doing anything like this, I can't really complain.

The cocobolo wood has a very nice feel to it and I really like natural materials in general. I also like Bowie knives very much. For my next endeavor, the plan is to make sheath and handle for an even bigger one.



















 
there's a lot of good information here ... I think it's time I upgrade my membership and show a bit of support. The knowledge and tips I've picked up from here are priceless
