It's funny you mention adjustable tongs, because Glen at 'GS Tongs' just made a video a couple days ago about an idea he had using pass though style tongs, to make adjustable tongs. Here is the vid.

I have a couple of Glen's tongs, he does a good job. Be interested if he does indeed adds these to his line.
