I like to test recipes for camping and hiking in the kitchen before trying them in the field so I can get a feel for what's needed.

I figured drunken apples would be a great trail snack at the the end of the day.
Supplies needed:

Not pictured is Jameson(any Liquor will work here, I though spiced rum or bourbon would be best) cinnamon, butter, brown sugar, honey, and caramel flavor.

Cut the apple into wedges

Then cubes

Mix it all up in your pot and put it on the heat

I'm using titanium here so I left them uncovered and stirred almost constantly

Once you've cooked it till the apples are tender and reduced the liquids to a syrup you're done.

Eat up!

Next is to try it with coals and a crumble top.

To make a crumble top for this you mix clarified butter, brown sugar and oatmeal into a paste consistency and pour over the apples, cover and bake until golden brown.
