Here's a pic of Mike at my house for a visit, even then he is still working. He had a fresh idea for the blade and pulled out the laptop and whipped up the file on the spot. I am proud to call Mike a best friend, his passion for knives is only increasing as the years go by. :)

What's the update on this?

Why no latch?

I think that he decided against a latch on this first batch because most of the latches stretch over time and I think Mike wanted to find a solution to that before making a bali with one. Pretty sure he wants to add a latch to the design later on, but it must be good enough to be called Snody before that happens. I will ask Mike again to make sure, but that is my memory on the subject. :D

Are they all spoken for? If not how much $?

These are for the knife show coming up in Vegas this weekend. He sold Snody Highroller 001 for $1400 on Facebook last week. The table price should be lower on these. :)

How about a Snody spring latch:) The spring latches on the old BM 4x's are greatly loved amongst flippers and their the only one's I care for.

It's not really the latch that stretches... more like the latch pin that gets slightly deformed.

Exactly CM, thanks for the clarification. :) After talking more with Mike and reading more and the help you guys have given, I have learned quite a bit more about bali's. Mike says he already has an idea for the latch and eventually it will come. In fact it looks like this first run of the HighRoller might be the only ones made Ninja style, and any future models will have a latch. But anything can happen between now and then, all I know is that Mike is still very excited about making Bali's so we should see him putting lots of effort into them in the near and long term.

Prices are available via Mike's IG page, he just opened up his books for about 3 days and took some orders on the HighRoller. Some lucky guys are in line to get a Snody HighRoller before Christmas at a great price. http://instagram.com/snodyknives

If it makes you feel better, only 2 out of 17 Balis I made had a latch ;)

came across this sub forum by accident. those are awesome, just like latches myself though.....that aside anyone willing to make good balis is a good maker in my book.
