What do you know of this Knife(Pictures)

So a friend gave me this blade and I know nothing about it, or if it is even worth any money. I got a few hits on google but nothing about this exact blade. All I know is that it says it is hand made in Japan, and from what I was able to find it it is special but I just dont know how special. Any suggestions or a link to another sight that would know more would be great, thanks. (This is my first time posting on here so if the pictures dont work here is the link again.)

Agreed, it's a Deba.

Doesn't look too expensive to me based on blade finish, ferrule, handle, and labelling. Should be a decent knife.
