Thanks friends. There are knives that deserve mirror finishes, and other "rustic" finishes. This knife is one of the few that I will bring to Solingen's show on May 6th and I prefer to have on my table mirror finish or satin polished knives (with grain 2000).

Ive Been getting a little bored with the simple "Maple burl Ironwood Walnut" routine of selling wood, so here are some of my latest experiments. When the quarter ends and I go home for summer ill do a WIP on how I make my bias cut Palm blocks

Timos,
I grind the blade off of an old Kitchen knife with a big handle and leave about 2" of steel to keep grinding and regrinding the point that you put in the pin hole for Tang Tapering. It fills my hand much better and gives good control instead of using a file handle for a push stick for tapering.
Working on a big butt
An interesting 3D puzzle, and I like the result.

I use my Push Knife on a Platen and grind vertically!

I've been working on some designs for some medium sized "EDC" fixed blades im going to make i found a blade shape i really like. Going to get a quote from my waterjet guy and see how many I can run and what the pricing would end up being like. I made a full scale mock up and im very pleased with how it feels and the size of it. The blade is about 4 inches long.

Today we're putting a new iron wood handle on survive knives 4.7 finally time to put the files away and sand it down.
4/4/17 update , done sanding/polishing.
