I'm gonna try heat treating the neckers out of my brake drum forge but I will seriously have to get a gas forge to do the bigger ones, only problem is I have no idea how to use or set one up...Time to test my Google skills?

    Yikes!! It's a land Snark!!

Haven't been on the forums to much lately, got a part time job which doesn't leave me a whole lot of free time between that and school but at least its nice to have some extra cash for stuff. Also been working on some of my customs, I'm sure close observation will also show the Becker influence...

First homemade kydex sheaths for beckers!

I've never made gun sheaths but IMO .060" is to thin for knife sheaths. When I first started working with kydex I bought a bunch of .060" and to be honest I hate the stuff since it feels flimsy and cheap. I like .080". Mountainmist, those sheaths aren't bad at all for a first attempt. Keep...

Dex's Saber 16 Modification WIP : Progress Update

Glue on one side, drill the holes, glue the other scale on and drill that one too and then put the pins in, when its permanently fixed it makes drilling much easier and there's no chance of misaligning the holes.

The 52100 I have is a little over .200" thick and I ordered it at 3/16" or .187" and yeah, steel can come thinner, I have some 52100 in 1/8" also but it comes up at about .100"

There have always been ads there for me but don't they disappear for gold members? What kinda ads are they? There was a couple days where they became "Spam" type ads but are now all back to knife/shooting/outdoor products.

I was told awhile back that there are very few new ideas in Knife making, all designs have some aspects of it borrowed from another design which in turn got that from another and so on. Anyway, it looks like his final version has turned into some curvy handled karambit looking thing and if those...
