I really like that concept Gary. I really hate storing some exceptional and good looking knives in a drawer. Yes, there is the display cabinet thing but wall space is at a premium in our house. You may have inspired me G2 - I see a folding knife mobile in the future. :)

This knife needs more photos. I'll get on that  Thank you Charlie. I thought you'd appreciate this one.

Well I signed up  With the help of @Âchillepattada - I email "met" Gigi Sechi and requested my first Pattada. He was on it in less than a day :) and yesterday, after a short wait, was an exceptional and delightful mail day. See for yourself. This is an exquisite knife. Masterly made...

Better than most ~ Yesterday's MAIL DAY

These two came in yesterday from far away - Romanian Dagger (courtesy of @BogdanS) and Sardinian Pattada (courtesy of Gigi Sechi). These are two such elegant and lovely customs. What a thrilling mail day! Had to share with my fellow knife Knuts. :)

    You're saying that wrong...

Though I touched on it briefly in my post # 28 above. Yes, you are right. Those get abused pretty hard!

    You're saying that wrong...

...and then there is the tendency these days to add - ALITY - to words that simply don't need it. • FUNCTION - is not improved or made more precise by the addition of the suffix - ALITY  • POTENTIAL - potentiALITY  • DIRECTION - directionALITY  • INTENTION...

Your physical reaction to having had the vaccine shots

Both Moderna in me now. First one was nothing more than a sore arm. I could move it all around no issues but the entry spot was tender for 3 or 4 days. I bumped it at the ed of the 2nd day o_O - I was really surprised how much it hurt because otherwise there was just a general ache in that one...

Welcome back! Current status, known issues, and more.

I'm completely delighted that you have made this upgrade @Spark. Thanks much. It's a familiar format for me so there is no learning curve. ! question though - don't know if you have already covered this - BUT - I really like seeing the data about all of us in our Avatar box. Useful...

KNIPEX - Cobra XS Water Pump Pliers

What I like abut the XS is that it very easily and comfortably fits in the coin pocket of my jeans. Sometimes I just have too much stuff on my belt with hammer loops, tape measure etc. and so taking the pliers sheath off and still being able to carry them is a huge bonus. The 5" would be too...

    Luxury steak knives x3

I like these! The two that are sold feature more dramatic wood but the straight and dark center grain of that BOCOTE version make it look more purposeful :) Nicely done  These would be great as a set of 4 or 6. I'll talk to you about that.

    You're saying that wrong...

    • Irregardless  • The fact that we seem to have replaced disconcerting with concerning - everyone including professors and journalist and other so called educated folks are saying it. :( • ... and the other trend which has caught on AROUND THE WORLD by English speakers - starting...

Love the mammoth ivory scales and the tapered tang is a fine subtle touch. What an elegant knife. Nicely done! AND - yes - you are a good friend.

    The Sardinian connection.

Thank you Â. That is a treasure of a resource on Sardinian knives. I think I know now where all the missing photos in this thread can be found. :) I'll need to pull off a few examples to study the local variations on the theme. They are certainly beautiful knives. And yes...

    The Sardinian connection.

I resurrect this thread if you please. These knives from Sardinia are so compelling. Sadly there are very many beautiful examples that have now been lost from these pages. But I know that given a bit of time, our friends @Âchillepattada, @waynorth, @Corto_Malt, @lambertiana, @Llasi...
