    First serrated edge, advice needed

    If you not need corrosion resistance I would not go for H1. It's very soft and according my experience not good to sharpen.

    Why Spyderco?

    For sure! Sliverax is large, flipper and spydiehole and ball bearings. The detent is on the soft side. Shaman should also be for you. Big knife...

    I would use much water and soap. Maybe under the shower with more pressure and use foam (shaving lather) to reach all parts. Also move all parts....

    Which Para 3 for a saltwater environment?

    I would use the lightweight. Cheapest Para so far. Or a S30V. Easy to sharpen. Hopefully we get a Salt version this or next year.
