I do have to say that if this was a Cold Steel knife and not a Demko knife, it probably would be about 35-50.00 ;AUS10 and grivory for 150 is steep; i do like it,though just dont feel like spending 150 on it right now.
Dergyll ; Yeah that slyze Bowie is just stupid, and the numnuts on ebay have paid over a grand for them.Seems like they cooled off a bit now 600 is the norm wether its the older one or the knifejoy one either way its no deal in any way....
I might join this club for the laughs; saw a master cutlery survival knife, looks kind of like the buckmaster, has firestarter and some other junk in the hollow handle its 5.99- probably 11.00 shipped.:D
^ I already saw one numbered one go for 275.00 and a regular one go for 179.00 ; On ebay they are as high as 350.00 :eek:And to think i got a manix lightweight in s110v for 85.00 these guys are getting jacked real bad i think.its a Cool knife but boy this is just plain crazy.
^ Thats my only gripe ; If you look at that Steve Austin working man knife, for exampe,it goes for around 30.00 ,similar materials except for a 4116 steel blade, but even if it was upgraded to AUS10 this knife is kind of expensive from a materials standpoint.Even a recon 1 with g10 and s35vn is...
A number of years ago i found a guy who made damascus blades not too expensive, i had some blades made for a few folding knives, wound up selling them off over the years though. If you do it, make sure its a knife you really want to keep .
I remember Demko stating that it was very difficult to make the custom AD10s there was alot of hand fitting to make it right which probably bumped up the cost alot; with the AD20 its a much simpler design and is easier to make.
