I do love it - so I use the newer 'PRO' stuff (as pictured) which is in between the sandpaper course and the regular rubber. I had to stop with the course for the same reasons.
Have you tried the PRO line? It is awesome. You need to give it a shot - best of both worlds.
I will say the...
I've been off the forum for a bit - I noticed your 3" Skinny has a nice big thumbhole cut out - did Hinderer finally fix the scales that ship with the 3" Skinny's. Great news if so!
I've got 4 of 'em that need those new scales if that's what's he's done.
Thanks, and yeah, the bright silver liner was a bad choice IMO. It blings out against the rest of the dark gray, matte finishes.
ZT managed to pull off the 0562BLK correctly, why not this one?
It has been so long since the last NEW Hinderer ZT or KAI collab, I’m starting to wonder if...
Echo the sentiments on a Skinny 0562 - huge fan of the Skinny Hinderers. Also echo the sentiments of a top-shelf, Ti-frame, KVT-based 0566. Pretty much my favorite ZT knife with so much potential. Just the perfect EDC size.
Give us some 0562 Skinnys ZT and re-release a "real" 0566!
How do I get me one of these?
EDIT: Hmm. I wonder if that "Gray PVD" is the super-cheasy Kershaw $20 gas station gray coating I've had before. That's actually really cheapo looking.
Have there been any other ZT "Gray PVD" knives released that maybe I could find pictures of?
Not all of them. That first run of Full Tracks was bad news - no amount of adjustment was going to fix the horrendous lock stick. Many went back to Hinderer to be fixed and still had the issue when they got back.
So why on earth does the blade on the new Gen2 Jurassics have to be so thick?
I want one really bad, but MY use case for that knife doesn’t jive with that blade thickness.
It’s still a tank of a knife and not much shorter than my 3.5s when closed.
Anybody think a Skinny Jurassic is in the works?
