    Is this worth anything?

I guess if everyone thinks I should keep it as it is I will heed your advice.

    Is this worth anything?

I could, but I feel as though it’s a waste to not use this knife.

    Is this worth anything?

Yes, and as it is the handle isn’t suitable for the kind of work I’ll be doing.

    Is this worth anything?

My grandfather gave me a knife that he's ha in a drawer for 50 years. he got it on a trip to Mexico and never used it. It's clearly a decorative knife, but its good steel, so I want to remount the blade onto a new handle so that I can actually use it. before I do that, I want to make sure this...

How can I fix the detent system in my new knife?

Update: I have contacted the seller and he says that he’ll take a look and see what he can do. (but if the problem isn’t fixed I will be requesting a refund and putting my money towards a Buck Sprint Select)

How can I fix the detent system in my new knife?

It doesn’t stay closed when the knife is moving. If it is shaken or jostled then it partially opens.

How can I fix the detent system in my new knife?

I got it from MikesDamascus on Etsy, he custom makes the blades and sends updates with pictures as it’s made.

How can I fix the detent system in my new knife?

Well of course it came with a handle, it just wasn’t custom made with the blade.

How can I fix the detent system in my new knife?

Just to clarify, I got this from a solo Etsy seller who doesn’t even make the handles. I wasn’t expecting it to be nice, I just wanted a knife that suits my needs and isn’t $200.

How can I fix the detent system in my new knife?

I just ordered a custom knife and I love the way it turned out, but upon receiving the knife I noticed that it didn’t stay closed very well. I took apart the knife and found that the detent hole is massive, while the ball is nearly flush with the liner. What is the best way to fix it?

    What is this knife?

I found a very rubbed off HammerBrand logo on one side and PAT.NOS 2034973 on the other. I don’t think it’s too good of a knife and it isn’t much my style, but I’ll keep it for the comedic value that my grandfather kept a tiny hunting knife and a tiny folding knife in a drawer for a few decades...

    Who actually likes plastic sheaths?

You just stated that plastic sheaths will not break down over time (which means that they will eventually add to plastic waste and pollution) further convincing me that they are bad.

    Who actually likes plastic sheaths?

Why are plastic sheaths a thing? They are ugly, too stiff, and if the blade is sharp the it will shave off pieces of the sheath which could possibly damage the blade.
