What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I am carrying a Lonewolf "US.45" with checkered rosewood scales. I thought it would be a bit bulky for an edc but it's not and I really am enjoying it. It reminds me of an old buck folder I carried as a youngster. I beat the heck out of that knife and it never failed to perform.

New/Old knives in Original Boxes Long Term Storage Question(s)..

Dang, I forgot to ask about the handles... Any idea's on if I should treat the handles with something prior to storage? I think the plan for the steel is solid and well thought out (thanks again guy's) but the handles are more susceptible to damage than the steel. There are different woods...

New/Old knives in Original Boxes Long Term Storage Question(s)..

Guy's, Thank You for taking the time to respond. I learned a lot and got some great suggestions from the reply's. I was going to just wipe them with oil before storing but the idea of cleaning them with alcohol first makes perfect sense. Also, throwing a few desiccant pouches into each box is a...

New/Old knives in Original Boxes Long Term Storage Question(s)..

Hello All, I have looked but cannot find any old forums that specifically discuss my question. I'll try to keep this short. I traded a nice Ithaca 12 gauge and an old .357 S&W to a friend of mine for some knives in his collection. I want to say Thank You to whoever reply's in advance in case I...

    Collectible knife storage question

Hello All, I need some advice. I am starting to build a decent collection (for me anyways) but have no idea how to properly store my more valuable knives.. I keep these separate from my users but want to make sure they stay mint and NIB. How should I store and protect them. Basically right now...

    Sale

I can't believe they have not sold yet. I have each of those and for being new that is not a bad price at all. Pretty fair actually. I EDC'd the Aegis you have and it is one heck of a knife. Between that and the Seal pup you are pretty much covered for an outdoor excursion. I was not a big fan...

Adam International Knifeworks - any feedback?

I have bought from them twice and will without a doubt buy from again. I'm the type who asks a lot of questions and they always answer quickly. Its never a one line answer either, they go into detail. I have been dealing mostly with Andrew there and I have to say they run a very professional...

    Tag Sale 119,110

Hello All, I came across a couple of knives that I bought yesterday. The box for the first one says it's a 119-00-0. It came with a black leather sheath and 2 pamphlets. The box is in bad shape but everything else is mint and it appears unused. Did I come across something decent?? I paid $60 for...

    The Best Discontinued Production Knives

I completely agree with you. Lone Wolf were very well made knives for the money. I have not been able to find another maker that puts out stuff that is similar to Lone Wolf.

    Benchmade Lone Wolf

Lone Wolf originals (pre-Benchmade) knives are very well made and functional knives. In my opinion for the money they couldn't be beat. Unfortunately Benchmade completely ruined the name.. The knives that they are producing under the Lone Wolf name are junk compared to the originals. I made the...

What is your absolute favorite knife?

Any Lone Wolf knife made prior to benchmade ruining their brand. I own many folders, mostly lone wolf but also have SOG, lion steel, mcusta to name a few, but I always seem to reach for the Lone Wolf US 45 folder. It has served me well.

Thanks to all who have replied. Great advice on checking out the contest here and gaining a bit of knowledge about what is out there, by who, price, etc...
