I sharpened Thousands of Cutcrap knives over a 25 year period before I retired. Some housewife’s like them because they have slender handles for their Petite hands . They are not collectable or worth much on the secondary market. Your father is mistaken On value by a few decimal points.

Recommendation? Which wax for removable pins during glue up?

“Wax to make removable pins during glue up” ?????? Your question doesn’t quite make sense to me? If you want a wax to resist epoxy during glue up. The paste wax or whatever the thickest one you have will do what you want instead of floor wax. For the most part, waxes are waxes.

    Should use boiling

If I use anything on wood handles I use auto Wax or floor wax, no drying time really other than 3-5 min and then I buff in another coat. Also no chance of blowing the place up or starting a fire with BLO rags. :) Also the wax doesn’t reek like BLO or Tung-oil..,
