Read through it before posting, it's old and they didn't say much.

$850 for not even 3 inches of 0.09 S90V and Carbon Fiber is ridiculous. End of story.

So BladeHQ just put this out, the Benchmade 1500-181 Gold Class Cigar Cutter... This has to be a joke. Opinions? Price is $850 USD... Can't seem to post a picture. https://www.bladehq.com/item--Benchmade-Cigar-Cutter-Auto-Axis--88121

    Oops!

Pretty clean snap. Too bad you don't have enough blade left to resharpen it into a Razel. Also for the people talking about the deep hole, I don't see why it's so deep if the threads are that shallow why not just drill it to depth? It would save time and money on Kerhsaw's end.

    Questions about Emerson knives

I don't think you have thought it through that Emersons are beaten by any company and yet you still pay more for something that is poor in every category.

I think you're talking to the wrong person... I've never mentioned anything about handle thickness.

    Questions about Emerson knives

It's useless in any real-world application. Sure it's useful as a novelty bottle opener but the sharp edge of a table can do the same.

    Questions about Emerson knives

Torx and Allen aren't proprietary. Flat Head and Phillips are horrible designs, easy to slip, easy to strip. Wave feature is useless. Unless you're in the heart of Chicago or Detroit you don't need a wave even then you'll be shot before you pull out your knife and attack. Don't try and defend...

    Questions about Emerson knives

Plenty of knives out there with better F&F - QC, Materials, and Design that don't require proprietary tools that will void your warranty. All for less and some are even made in the same country.

Manix2 XL vs Military S110V vs Crooked River : which of these larger knives would you pick for edc?

Out of the 3 mentioned, Crooked River. I own 3 Manix 2 XLs and they're plagued with side to side play unless you crank them down to the point where it's like trying to move a 250lb block of steel and their centering isn't that great either. The action is good but the design is flawed plus taking...

    Hogue knives

Agreed but they wouldn't need to raise their prices anymore. ZTs are around 220 - 240 normally (which seems to be what Hogue X series manuals are at) and the Launch series from Kershaw is 50% cheaper with the same materials and the same C.O.O.

    Questions about Emerson knives

Don't bother buying an Emerson. Emersons are poor contenders in every category. A RAT 2 in D2 will do a better job and be more secure than any Emerson ever made. A Spyderco Military will slice better, last longer, and won't come apart if you abuse it. I don't know where people seem to get this...

S/T Spyderco Myrtle, Southard, GLITD Manix 2 XL

Yes as long as you take responsibility for the knife if it gets confiscated by customs.
