Am I On The Right Track Buying These Expensive Knives

If you buy those knives but sleep on trash sheets and eat cull grade beef, you’re doing it wrong.

    Are expensive knives worth it?

I only buy Quarter Pounder with Cheese Deluxe because frankly, I'm worth it. I like to treat myself. However, my knife budget tops out at $19.99 ;)

Are Knife Related "Worth It?" Threads Worth It?

A Beyond Meat cheeseburger in event you’re confronted by a Vegan security guard. This one probably isn’t Vegan but I bet he’d be cool with an XL Espada to cut the onion.

Are Knife Related "Worth It?" Threads Worth It?

I have incontrovertible proof that this "Worth It?" thread is actually a clone. The best BBQ is the one you're eating. The knife from your Great-Uncle's footlocker is NOT a Mesopotamian relic. I refuse to have just ONE knife for the rest of my life. Stolen, expensive knives are always worth...

    Are expensive knives worth it?

Not understanding the cola and fish hooks reference indicates that you don’t know where you are and what the environment is. It was a direct reference to an inappropriate comment you made in a family friendly part of the forum. The rest of your financial commentary is really bad advice. One...

    Are expensive knives worth it?

Your argument fails when money is free. It’s all about how you handle your cash in hand and apparent debt. I’d not normally advocate debt, but with current interest rates and incentives to borrowers with good credit, it kinda makes sense. Let’s ease up on the cola and fish hooks, kay? This is a...

Congrats on the new knife. I’ve had clips from both and don’t see much difference lately. With supply shortages, you might be better served to find one that’s available.

    Are expensive knives worth it?

The threshold of “expensive” is subjective for any item. It’s a personal inflection point that’s unique to each individual and circumstance. Whether items priced above that threshold are “worth it” is also subjective. Purchasers with identical definitions of “expensive” can experience...

Bad User SCRIM - Received refund on knife when USPS seemed to have lost, it was then delivered, he refused to appropriately send back at my cost.

@Scrim has clearly demonstrated that were it not for this thread, he’d have a knife AND a refund AND shipping funds with no inclination to do anything about it. It took pressure from a community to coerce him to “do the right thing”. There’s only one creep here and he’s going on ignore now...

Do you ever take along a knife specifically to use at table when attending a BBQ or visiting a steakhouse for a meal?

Did you get a "later sailor" knowing wink from the owner? Ballgames ain't nothing without a little unexpected romance.

Nah, it's easier to steal Karen's hot dog when she leaves to get the security guard.

Do you ever take along a knife specifically to use at table when attending a BBQ or visiting a steakhouse for a meal?

I've got one. I carry it in a cross-draw sheath and it's my go-to blade for steakhouses and BBQ joints. I have a special serrated version for that crappy Santa Maria style stuff.

    A new knife

It’s rude to mention a particular knife without a picture… Oh, how this thread has turned to dribble. Lately GKD is full of dribble about captions and steak knives.
